Charlie Sheen – real name Carlos Irwin Estévez – was born 3rd September, 1965, the youngest son of actor Martin Sheen and artist Janet Templeton. He rose to fame through a series of film roles, both serious and comedic, but became best known for his comedy television roles in the 2000s. In 2010, Sheen was the highest paid actor on television and earned US$1.8 million per episode of TV series Two and a Half Men. Since the onset of his super-stardom Sheen’s personal life has been the topic of many headlines, including reports of alcohol and drug abuse, trysts with porn-stars and wrecking hotel rooms, as well as allegations of domestic violence.

In the wake of his dismissal from Two and a Half Men in 2011 after making derogatory comments about the series’ creator, Chuck Lorre, and Warner Bros, Sheen had a highly publicized “meltdown” which was broadcast on television and the Internet. He made bizarre statements suggesting that he was a “warlock” with “tiger blood” and “Adonis DNA”, and that he was “winning”. Sheen also posted videos to YouTube showing himself smoking cigarettes through his nose, and criticising his former employers. He told one TV interviewer, “I’m tired of pretending I’m not a total bitchin’ rock star from Mars.”

Just in case you’re not doubting his sanity at this point – Sheen is a prominent advocate of the 9/11 Truth movement and is also a strident supporter of the anti-vaccination movement.
